CTOnews.com November 18, Microsoft announced the introduction of sign language view in Microsoft Teams. This function is mainly used in Microsoft Teams video conferencing, so that deaf-mutes or people with hearing impairment can communicate with others through sign language.

Microsoft announced in a technology community blog that sign language View has been launched in the public preview version of Teams and is expected to be available in the next few weeks.

CTOnews.com learned that in the sign language view, attendees can place video feeds from two meeting participants side by side. In this way, during the meeting, the deaf-mute or the hard of hearing can display the normal expressions of others in one video and learn about the meeting through sign language in another.

Microsoft said that the sign language view mainly has the following highlights:

Can view the content of the original author and sign language translator in parallel

Make sure the video is in the right shape and size so that the sign language is displayed more clearly

Allow attendees to see up to two other sign speakers in each meeting

Reduce repetitive meeting setup tasks, such as fixing translators and opening subtitles at the beginning of each meeting.
