CTOnews.com, Nov. 18 (Xinhua)-- Battlefield 2042's third season of online service updates will begin next week, and game developer DICE predicts that "Season 3: Escalation" will introduce a lot of content and bring a whole new gaming experience to players in the coming months.

CTOnews.com learned that large-scale updates scheduled for November 22 include new maps, Specialist, futuristic weapons, tanks with rail guns, and so on.

In terms of new maps, a new map called "Spearhead" will be introduced in season 3, similar to "Stranded" released in season 2, including high-tech weapons manufacturers, where players can engage in a fierce exchange of fire indoors.

New EMKV90-TOR tanks have been added to weapons. The tank is equipped with a rail gun, which reduces maneuverability but allows players to fire more destructive cannons at faster speeds in Siege mode, while Mobility mode makes the tank more flexible.

In addition, DICE introduced new weapons such as hand-held battery-powered rail gun Rorsch MK-4, semi-automatic double-barrel shotgun NVK-S22, high-precision long-range secondary weapon NVK-P125 and throwing knife in the third season.
