The C919 (Bmer001F) took off from Pudong for Chengdu Shuangliu Airport at 11:07 yesterday and arrived at 14:22 in the afternoon. This is the first time that a C919 plane has arrived in Chengdu.

CTOnews.com learned that the C919 first flew to the high plateau airport (3540 meters above sea level). As the operating environment of the high plateau airport is much more complex than that of the general airport, the Chinese civil aviation management department is extremely strict with the operation of the high plateau airport. At present, the aircraft flying at the high plateau airport will be transformed at high altitude.

Airports with an elevation of more than 2438 meters are called high plateau airports. The main highland airports in the world are mainly in China, Nepal, Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador and other countries. As of September 27, 2020, there are 20 airports in China's high plateau.

On September 29 this year, the domestic large aircraft C919 received the certificate of the Civil Aviation Administration and completed the aircraft research and development, flight test and other work. The first aircraft will be delivered to China Eastern Airlines in December.
