According to CTOnews.com on November 18, Tesla officially launched its overcharging pilot project in Italy on Wednesday, and users of non-Tesla cars can also use its super charging network in Italy.

CTOnews.com has learned that Tesla has extended the pilot program to 15 European countries since it was launched in November 2021.

The pilot project allows owners of non-Tesla electric vehicles to charge at any of the company's supercharging stations at rates ranging from 150 to 250 kilowatts. This is a test project to evaluate the use of super charger by non-Tesla drivers.

At present, the pilot project has been carried out in 15 countries:

France

Netherlands

Norway

The United Kingdom

Spain

Sweden

Belgium

Austria

Denmark

Finland

Germany

Luxembourg

Switzerland

Iceland

Italy

In fact, Tesla has been considering expanding the project to other regions for a long time, and it is expected that the pilot project will be open to users around the world when it is completed.

It is worth mentioning that despite the huge network of electric vehicle charging infrastructure in the United States, it still seems to be unable to meet the current charging needs of electric vehicles. As a result, Tesla unveiled his electric vehicle charging design in the United States this week under a strong appeal from users, and will further open his charging network in the future if nothing happens.
