CTOnews.com, Nov. 17, last week, Samsung released a stable Android 13 update to Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 4, but only to some devices participating in the One UI 5.0 Beta program. Now, Samsung is launching a stable Android 13 update for all users in some markets.

In South Korea, Galaxy Z Flip 4's stable Android 13 (One UI 5.0) updated firmware version is F721NKSU1BVK5, and Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 updated firmware version is F936NKSU1BVK5. These new updates also bring security patches for these devices in November 2022 to fix close to a number of security vulnerabilities.

Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 4 users in South Korea can download Android 13 updates on their devices by navigating to Settings-Software updates and clicking "download and install".

Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 4 users in other countries are expected to receive Android 13 updates in the coming days.

CTOnews.com learned that the update to Samsung's Android 13 / One UI 5.0 brought a slightly modified UI design, with extended color palettes, larger icons in the notification area, and slight changes in the quick setting switch section. The update also brings stacked widgets, separate language settings for each application, Samsung DeX user interface improvements, and reorganized privacy and security dashboards.

Other improvements include better animation and transitions, easier multitasking gestures, OCR recognition in gallery applications, and improved editing in the built-in image and video editor section. Bixby and Bixby Routines have also been improved, bringing new options and features. Bixby Routines has been renamed Modes & Routines. Performance and accessibility features have also been enhanced.
