NetEase said that in view of everyone's concern about fee refunds, game data, virtual property, game rights and other related issues, we will try our best to negotiate with Activision Blizzard to maximize the protection of the interests of Chinese players.

Blizzard Entertainment announced on November 16 that most of Blizzard game services on Chinese mainland will be suspended as the existing license agreement with NetEase expires on January 23, 2023, including World of Warcraft, hearthstone Legend, Watch Pioneer, StarCraft, Warcraft III: reset version, Diablo III and Storm Hero.

Dear Blizzard gamers,

Since Activision Blizzard's license agreement for NetEase will expire on January 23, 2023, due to contractual restrictions, it will start at 0: 00 on January 24. Blizzard will suspend gaming services operated by Shanghai Netbook online Technology Development Co., Ltd. (including World of Warcraft, Legend of hearthstone, Watchman Vanguard, III, StarCraft II, Warcraft III: remake, Storm Hero) in Chinese mainland area, while Diablo: immortal service will not be affected.

NetEase worked with Blizzard for the first time in 2008. In the past 14 years, starting from World of Warcraft, we have introduced Blizzard's high-quality games to China step by step, and even achieved global version synchronization. Every time the introduction of the game, we are very excited, but also carry our blood and youth.

Within NetEase, there are also thousands of loyal fans of Blizzard games. As a result, we are more sympathetic to the feelings of the players at the moment. Until today, we have been doing our best and sincerity to negotiate with Blizzard to seek continued cooperation in the Chinese mainland region.

However, after a long period of negotiations, we are still unable to agree with Blizzard on some key terms of cooperation related to sustainable operations, the Chinese market and the core interests of players. Today, Activision Blizzard announced that it would suspend cooperation with NetEase, and we have to accept this decision. After January 23, 2023, the company will lose its agency and will no longer be able to manage and operate games that have carried players' memories for 14 years.

Next, NetEase will try his best to perform his duties and serve the players until the last minute. We promise that we will try our best to negotiate with Activision Blizzard to protect the interests of Chinese players as far as possible in view of the related issues such as refund, game data, virtual property, game rights and so on.

At the same time, we will work with Activision Blizzard to achieve "business belongs to commerce, games belong to games", attach importance to the voice of players, cherish everything players pay for the game, and properly protect everyone's game assets and memories. We strive for both sides to formulate a plan as soon as possible, start refund and other related work as soon as possible, and will continue to inform players of the progress of the relevant work through official channels such as the "Blizzard Game Service Center" official account.
