Astronaut Chen Dong and astronaut Cai Xuzhe safely returned to the space station to ask the sky for the experimental module, and the extravehicular activities were a complete success.

Today, the Shenzhou 14 crew carried out its third extravehicular activity and successfully opened the airlock exit hatch at 11:16 Beijing time. Astronauts Chen Dong and Cai Xuzhe carried out extravehicular operations, while astronaut Liu Yang supported them in the core cabin.

During the extravehicular activities, the astronauts first completed the installation of the connection device between the sky and core module and the test cabin, and the connection device between the sky and core module and the Mengtian experiment cabin, and built a "flyover" for extravehicular walking in the third cabin. Astronaut Cai Xuzhe realized the first extravehicular walk across the cabin through the "overpass". In addition, the tasks of lifting the panoramic camera An and installing the power handle of the small manipulator were completed, and the whole process was smooth and successful. This is the first astronaut extravehicular activity after the completion of the basic configuration assembly of the space station "T", and for the first time tested the ability of the astronaut to work together with the combined manipulator, and further verified the functional performance of the airlock module and the supporting equipment related to the extravehicular activities in the experimental module.

CTOnews.com learned that the Shenzhou-14 manned spacecraft was successfully launched on June 5. Since then, three astronauts, Chen Dong, Liu Yang and Cai Xuzhe, have launched a six-month mission. The Shenzhou 14 astronaut crew completed its first extravehicular activity on September 2 and carried out its second extravehicular activity on September 17.
