CTOnews.com, Nov. 17 (Xinhua)-- Anti-malware assessment company AV-Comparatives today released the latest list of antivirus products for home users. Microsoft Defender, Microsoft's own antivirus software, performed badly and was at the bottom of the list.

The results are consistent with AV-TEST tests by another anti-malware assessment company, which show that Defender performs poorly in file copying, archiving, and application installation.

CTOnews.com learned that AV-TEST graded different antivirus products according to their AV-C scores and PCMark scores. The full score of the AVC score is 90, while the full score of the PCMark score is 100. The overall performance impact is expressed by the impact score, which is obtained by subtracting the total score of the product (out of 190).
