CTOnews.com November 16 news, today, TrendForce Group Consulting released a report that DRAM industry revenue in the third quarter of 2022 was $18.19 billion (about 128.058 billion yuan), a month-on-month decline of 28.9%, the second highest recession since 2008.

The report pointed out that consumer electronics demand continued to shrink, the contract price decline not only widened to 10%-15%, even the original relatively stable shipments of server DRAM, the client has also begun inventory adjustment, pull momentum is significantly lower than in the second quarter.

Revenue, the three original manufacturers Samsung (Samsung), SK Hynix (SK Hynix), Micron (Micron) revenue are lower than the second quarter.

Samsung's revenue was $7.4 billion (about 52.096 billion yuan), down 33.5% from the previous month, and the decline was the most dramatic of the three original factories.

SK Hynix Camp received about $5.24 billion (about 36.89 billion yuan), down 25.2% from the previous month.

Meguiar's revenue is about $4.81 billion, and its average price decline is smaller than that of the two Korean factories due to different reporting ranges, so the decline in revenue is the smallest of the three original factories.

CTOnews.com learned that the operating margins of the three original factories are still relatively high, but the market expects the destocking of 2022 to continue until at least the first half of 2023, and profit margins will continue to be compressed, according to TrendForce Ji Bang Consulting.
