CTOnews.com November 16 news, today, Sensor Tower released a report that in October 2022, global applications (non-games) downloaded more than 7.2 billion times on App Store and Google Play, down nearly 1% from the same period last year.

Among them, the Indian market ranks first with 1.44 billion downloads, accounting for 19.8% of the world's total downloads. The US market ranks second with 10 per cent downloads, followed by China's iOS market, accounting for 6.7 per cent.

Instagram topped the list of downloads of mobile apps (non-games) in the world in October 2022 with nearly 67 million downloads, an increase of 17.2 percent over October 2021, Sensor Tower said. Of these, the Indian market accounted for 45.2% of the downloads, while the US market accounted for 5.4% of the downloads. It should be noted that downloads only count App Store and Google Play, excluding third-party Android markets in China and other regions.

In addition, Douyin and its overseas version of TikTok ranked second with more than 6200 downloads, up 10.8 per cent from October last year. China is the market with the largest number of downloads, accounting for 13.7%, followed by the United States, accounting for 8.4%.

CTOnews.com learned that the other three apps in the top five were Facebook, WhatsApp and CapCut.
