CTOnews.com, Nov. 15, after the first reminder in June, Microsoft recently issued another reminder to Win8.1 users, urging them to upgrade to Win10/11 as soon as possible. Obviously, Microsoft wants users to "get there in one step" and directly skip Win10 to upgrade to Win11.

Microsoft wrote in its reminder:

Support for Win8.1 devices will be discontinued on January 10, 2023, and Microsoft will no longer provide the following services

Technical support for any problem

Software update

Security update or repair

Although you can continue to use computers running Windows 8.1, without ongoing software and security updates, your computer will be at greater risk of viruses and malware. We recommend upgrading to a version of Windows that is still supported. A new device that runs Windows 11 allows you to transition easily and get a good experience.

CTOnews.com learned that Microsoft is pushing more devices to upgrade Win11 as the Win8.1 system is about to retire. And the Win11 system has a high threshold for TPM, processors, etc., so Microsoft is also recommending you to upgrade your device in disguise.
