The construction of the Nanchong section of the Nanchong railway began in December 2018. the total length of the main line is about 119.3 kilometers and the design speed is 250km per hour.

The Nanchong section of Nankeng high-speed railway entered the trial operation phase of Mantu on October 13 and is now nearing completion and is now in the final stage before opening. According to reports, after the completion of the trial operation of the full map, it will enter the link of preliminary acceptance and operational safety assessment, laying the foundation for the opening and operation of the line.

After the official operation of the line, Nanning Station, Nanning East Station and Nanning Wuwei International Airport will realize seamless transfer between planes and high-speed rail, Chongzuo City will be connected to the high-speed rail network, and the travel time from Nanning to Chongzuo will be shortened from the current 2 hours to about 50 minutes.

CTOnews.com learned that at present, the line is in the stage of full map trial operation, and the railway department will simulate and organize passenger boarding and alighting, opening and closing doors, picking up and leaving trains, and other work in accordance with the formal operation procedures, and comprehensively test the equipment stability and operation standardization of the new lines to ensure that they meet the prescribed requirements before formal operation.

Nanning, Wuwei Airport, Fusuinan, Canal Old South (reserved) and Chongzuo South five stations are set up along the Nanchong section of the railway, among which Wuwei Airport, Fusuinan and Chongzuo South are the new stations.
