Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--

CTOnews.com, Nov. 15, according to the China manned Space Engineering Office, the Tianzhou IV cargo spacecraft was controlled to re-enter the atmosphere at 07:21 Beijing time on November 15, 2022. Most of the spacecraft was ablated and destroyed during re-entry, and a small amount of debris fell into the intended safe waters of the South Pacific.

CTOnews.com learned that the Tianzhou IV cargo spacecraft was launched into orbit on May 10, 2022, delivering about 6 tons of supplies to the space station. After the Tianzhou IV cargo spacecraft withdrew from the space station assembly, relevant space technology tests were carried out, accumulating important experience for the on-orbit construction and operation management of the space station.

14:55 on November 9, 2022, Beijing time, the Tianzhou IV cargo spacecraft, which had completed its scheduled mission, successfully evacuated from the space station assembly, turned into an independent flight phase, and continued to carry out expansion missions, including the release of the cubic star and technical tests.

CTOnews.com learned that 01:56 on May 10, 2022, Beijing time, the long March 7 Yao-5 carrier rocket carrying the Tianzhou IV cargo spacecraft was ignited and launched from China's Wenchang space launch site. About 10 minutes later, the spacecraft successfully separated from the rocket and entered the scheduled orbit. 02:23, the solar panels of the spacecraft started work smoothly and the launch was a complete success. After about 6.5 hours, Tianzhou-4 successfully completed the back docking with the core module of the space station. This is the first launch of a space station construction mission in 2022, officially opening the curtain on the full construction of China's space station.

The Tianzhou-4 mission was the first launch mission during the in-orbit construction phase of the space station, which played a pioneering role. The Tianzhou-4 cargo spacecraft was launched into orbit by the long March 7 Yao-5 carrier rocket at 01:56 on May 10, 2022 at the Wenchang launch site in Hainan, and then docked at the rear port of the Tianhe core module in a 6.5-hour rapid rendezvous and docking mode.

The "Tianzhou IV" spacecraft is the second of the "Tianzhou" series of spaceships. It is a fully enclosed cargo ship with a two-cabin structure, the main body is composed of a propulsion cabin and a cargo cabin, and is equipped with four propellant tanks with a total length of 10.6 meters. The diameter of the propulsion module is 2.8 meters, the diameter of the cargo cabin is 3.35 meters, and the wingspan of the solar wing is 14.9 meters. " The Tianzhou IV has a mass of about 6.5 tons, carrying 6.2 tons of materials, including 0.75 tons of supplementary propellant, and a takeoff mass of about 12.7 tons.

As a cargo ship, Tianzhou IV undertakes the material support of astronaut system, space station system and space application system. At the same time, Tianzhou-4 also has the ability to undertake space station attitude and orbit control, grid-connected power supply, space station telemetry, data transmission support and other space station operation support tasks, as well as space science experiment support.

During the period of docking at the space station assembly, "Tianzhou IV" successively experienced the "Shenzhou 14" manned spacecraft uplink docking at the "Tianhe" radial port, the "Tianzhou 3" cargo spacecraft evacuated from the "Tianhe" forward port, and the "ask the sky" experimental module uplink docked at the "Tianhe" forward port and docked at the "Tianhe" lateral fourth quadrant port. The "Mengtian" experimental module is uplink docked at the "Tianhe" forward port and transposed and docked at the "Tianhe" lateral second quadrant port, witnessing and supporting the assembly and construction of the main structure of the Chinese space station in orbit.
