Thanks to CTOnews.com netizen OC_Formula for the clue delivery! CTOnews.com, November 15, TP-Link recently launched the "world's first" Wi-Fi 7 router, BE900, based on the upcoming IEEE specification, at a price of $699.99 (about 4970 yuan), while Wi-Fi 6e routers have not yet been fully popularized. And the company is actively expanding its Wi-Fi 7 product line, including the main line of Archer routers, full-house Deco products, and many other products aimed at business environments.

Wi-Fi 7, technically known as 802.11BE, as the successor to the Wi-Fi 6amp 6e, provides faster transmission speeds and lower latency. With multilink operation (MLO), Wi-Fi 7 allows devices to connect to both the 5Ghz and 6Ghz spectrum.

Like previous generations, it will support backward compatibility with Wi-Fi 6, 5 and older devices, but requires you to purchase new devices to take advantage of Wi-Fi 7's larger 320MHz channel (Wi-Fi 6e supports channels as wide as 160MHz).

CTOnews.com learned that TP-Link 's first Wi-Fi 7 router, the flagship quad-band Archer BE900, which sells for $699.99, looks a bit like a Western hard drive, with LED lights and a touchscreen. The clock, weather, and wireless statistics can be displayed by swiping. There is also a LED light that displays emoticons such as blinking. Other features include support for OpenVPN and a private Internet of things network for smart devices.

Under the premise provided by ISP operators, Archer routers can implement 10Gbps Internet services. BE900 provides an 10Gb SFP + optical WAN combination option, plus an additional 10Gb WAN port, which can also be used as a LAN. You can also get four other 2.5G Ethernet ports to build a fast wired network for yourself. BE900 will accept pre-orders from December 31 and will ship in the first quarter of 2023.

TP-Link has also launched a series of Archer routers with more user-friendly prices and relatively fewer features. The first is a tri-band BE800 with 19Gbps wireless speed, which also supports 10Gb Internet services and has LED lights, but lacks touchscreen functionality.

TP-Link also launched a tri-band Archer GE800 game router for gamers, the biggest feature of which is to provide players with a feature-rich Game Panel to facilitate players to perform various operations to ensure a smooth experience of the game. It supports Wi-Fi 7 speeds up to 19Gbps and has two 10Gb Ethernet ports, two 2.5Gb ports, and four gigabit ports. All of this is in a very connected twin-tower antenna design with multicolor LED lights. TP-Link has not officially announced the exact price and is expected to go on sale in the first / second quarter of 2023.

TP-Link also launched the more people-friendly Wi-Fi 6e router Deco XE75 earlier today, and now the company has brought a new version of Wi-Fi 7, and the two packages are priced at $700. The new Deco BE85 tri-band mesh router system has the Wi-Fi 7 speed of 22Gbps and has two 10G ports, starting at $999.99. There will also be a Deco BE65 with a speed of 11Gbps, which is expected to go on sale in the first or second quarter of 2023, at an unannounced price.

Decos still looks like an air purifier. The picture is from TP-Link.

The higher-end quad-band version (BE95) costs $1199.99 and can reach 33Gbps on four frequencies, but the company says the speed is based on "physical rates derived from the IEEE standard 802.11 specification," but there is no guarantee of such a speed. Like the new Archer, Deco BE95 and BE85 will begin accepting preorders on December 31 and will ship in the first quarter of 2023.
