CTOnews.com, November 14, according to CRRC, recently, CNRC offshore wind turbines have been offline in Sheyang, Jiangsu Province. The unit focuses on the goal of the optimal life cycle kilowatt-hour cost of the project, and is a regional customized offshore wind turbine based on offshore parity and based on modular design and advanced R & D platform.

The offshore wind turbine, led by the CRRC Zhuzhou Institute, has achieved full coverage of power level 8-12MW, with an impeller diameter of 225m and a sweeping area of about 40,000 square meters, equivalent to about 5.6standard football fields. According to the specific conditions of different sea areas, platform products can carry out regional customized development and configuration to achieve the best customer rate of return and the lowest life cycle electricity cost.

CTOnews.com learned that the unit has efficient power generation performance. Under the rated wind speed, each turn can generate 22 kilowatt-hours, and a single unit can output about 5000 million kilowatt-hours of clean electricity per year. According to the normal power consumption of ordinary households, a single unit can generate electricity per year to meet the electricity needs of about 25000 households, reducing coal consumption by 14600 tons and carbon dioxide emissions by 36500 tons. The unit adopts a series of advanced technologies and cost optimal design concepts, such as efficient blade design, lightweight semi-direct drive structure, high fault-tolerant electrical system, variable overhead box, integrated hoisting, in-cabin track inspection robot and so on.

CRRC will extend the technology accumulated in the rail transit industry to the new energy industry, and successfully apply the key core technologies of rail transit system integration, conversion and control to wind power, photovoltaic and integrated energy business. From the core components such as generators, blades, towers, gearboxes, converters, supercapacitors, pitch systems, to the advantages of the whole wind power industry chain, such as resource development, project EPC, machine manufacturing, intelligent operation and maintenance, to build wind power lifecycle system solution capabilities.
