The space non-magnetic stretching arm loaded by domestic quantum magnetometer is developed by Shenyang Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences. After the non-magnetic extension arm was put into orbit, the locking mechanism was unlocked on July 28, and the one-time deployment was successfully realized after being stored in the extravehicular exposure environment for more than 3 months. the telemetry data show that each index meets the design requirements.

CTOnews.com learned that the space non-magnetic deployable arm is driven by motor, with a collapse length of 0.95m and a deployment length of 5.3m. It has the advantages of large aspect ratio, stable deployment attitude and controllable deployment process, and has a wide application prospect in space manipulator, large deployable antenna, deep space exploration and other fields. The success of this mission laid the foundation for the development of large space extension arm in the later stage.
