CTOnews.com, November 14 (Xinhua)-- LG Uplus announced on November 13 that it will provide car networking services for new cars launched by Hyundai Motor Group, including Genisse, Hyundai and Kia, from January 2023.

CTOnews.com learned that Hyundai Motor Group has established cooperation with three major mobile operators: LG Uplus, SK Telecom and KT.

In addition to Hyundai, LG Uplus will also provide car networking services for all models of Kia Motor and Genesis, the luxury car brand of Hyundai Motor Group.

The mobile operator has provided wireless communication lines for Hyundai Motor Group since 2003 and communication services for some Kia models since 2019.

LG Uplus announced that in order to ensure stable communication 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, a dual communications infrastructure has been built specifically for Hyundai Motor Group. To this end, starting from 2023, drivers of all Hyundai Motor Group's connected vehicle service vehicles can use a large amount of data to establish a dedicated communication infrastructure, and completed technical preparations for specialized network resource allocation and streaming media service traffic management.
