According to news on November 14, during October 2022, Youda Optoelectronics achieved revenue of NT $17.176 billion, an increase of 5.5% over September this year and a decrease of 43.47% over the same period last year!

In terms of panel shipments, Youda Optoelectronics's LCD panel shipped an area of 1.281 million square meters in October, an increase of 3.1 per cent from the previous month.

Youda Optoelectronics, formerly known as Daer Technology, was founded in August 1996, changed its name to Youda Optoelectronics after merging with Lianyou Optoelectronics in 2001, and acquired Guanghui Electronics again in 2006. The company has a complete 3.5Gen to 8.5Gen LCD production line offering panels ranging from 1.1in to 85in to cover a wide range of display applications.

In the second quarter of 2022, the company's total panel shipping area reached 4.919 million square meters, a decrease of 18.7% compared with the first quarter of 2022 and 23.2% compared with the same period last year.

TFT-LCD, AMOLED and other new display technologies, including flexible display, are based on semiconductor technology, which can be collectively referred to as semiconductor display. Semiconductor display can be defined as a display technology that independently controls each minimum display unit through a semiconductor device.
