Nokia Bell still uses AirScale commercial millimeter wave base station products, as well as test terminals equipped with Qualcomm's Snapdragon X655G modem and RF system. After the verification of key technologies in the laboratory, in the outfield test, the maximum downlink rate of a single user exceeds 7.1Gbps, and the maximum uplink rate reaches 2.1Gbps. At the same time, the key functions and performance tests of good point / midpoint / handicap user rate, time delay and beam switching in different scenarios of line-of-sight and non-line-of-sight are completed, and the test results meet the expectations, which lays a foundation for the future commercial networking of millimeter wave FR2only.

CTOnews.com learned that compared with NSA, NR-DC and other networking modes, FR2 only networking can be independent of other frequencies, so it is more flexible and convenient. Considering the characteristics of millimeter wave technology, such as large bandwidth and low delay, it can bring more application scenarios for operators and industry users.
