CTOnews.com November 14 news, today, Cainiao announced for the first time Brazil's three-year development plan, which will deepen local network operations around local logistics and distribution, customs clearance, distribution centers, and intelligent express cabinets, and establish an express logistics brand covering more than 1000 cities in 26 states and a federal district in Brazil.

Up to now, Cainiao express warehouse distribution network has covered all over Brazil, with an average of 2-3 days after local orders are issued, and core cities such as Sao Paulo can reach every other day or even the next day.

Cainiao's head of international export said that in the next three years, Cainiao plans to deploy nine distribution centers in Brazil, covering seven key southeastern states and radiating the country; in addition, Cainiao plans to deploy 1000 sets of smart delivery cabinets in the city of Top10 within three years, which will become a public infrastructure for cross-border parcels, same-city distribution and takeout errands.

Cainiao says Brazil is the world's third-largest internet market, with 80 per cent of its international packages coming from China. Sales of Brazil's e-commerce platform rose 74% in 2021 compared with 2019, according to survey data released by the Brazilian National Institute of Electronic Commerce.

CTOnews.com learned that the Cainiao Sao Paulo Distribution Center in Brazil was also officially put into operation recently, which is the most automated distribution center in Latin America. In addition, in the fourth quarter of 2021, Cainiao International's quarterly average number of cross-border packages has exceeded 5 million, covering more than 100 countries and regions around the world.
