Now Google has finally introduced the ability to save tag groups locally as bookmarks for Chrome Canary. At present, however, most users may need to enable it manually on the chrome://flags page:

Open chrome://flags/#tab-groups-save from the address bar of your Chrome browser.

Set the status of the lab feature to enabled.

Restart the Chrome browser.

After restarting, you will find an option to "Save Group" when you right-click the tab group, and when you choose to switch to save, this set of tabs will be added to the browser's bookmarks bar.

In addition, you can now choose to close the entire group or individual tabs in the tab bar without losing any information.

For now, this feature is expected to be part of the Chrome v110 version, but some Reddit users speculate that the Chromium team may merge it with version 108 or 109 to make it available on more users' computers as soon as possible.
