CTOnews.com, November 14, according to the British AutoCar report, Maserati's new generation of Quattroporte EV president car will be based on the same electric platform of Granturismo. Given that the Granturismo offers both EV and ICE, the new car is also expected to launch a new traditional-powered version of the Quattroporte.

According to reports, the Maserati Quattroporte electric model will use Granturismo and Grecale EV version of the same Folgore nameplate. CTOnews.com popular science, Folgore means lightning in Italian.

In addition to the Quattroporte, Granturismo and Grecale Folgore models, Maserati plans to launch an all-electric version of its flagship MC20 supercar. It is reported that the MC20 Folgore will be equipped with three engines and will arrive as a two-door sedan or convertible like a fuel truck.

Foreign media speculated that Quattroporte EV may use the same 105 kWh battery pack as Grecale Folgore, but Granturismo's 92.5 kWh battery pack is also a possibility, considering that the two models will share the same chassis, perhaps the latter is more likely.

In terms of power, the AWD version of the new car is expected to achieve a performance of more than 500 hp, which may also be on a par with the Porsche Taycan Turbo S.

In terms of mileage, foreign media expect the Quattroporte EV to be between Grecale Folgore (more than 300miles) and Granturismo Folgore (279miles).
