Thanks to CTOnews.com netizens Wu Yanzu in South China for the delivery of clues! CTOnews.com, Nov. 14 (Xinhua)-- since Rockstar Games released Grand Theft Auto V in 2013, the game has been active on the Steam sales list and has become a classic. But because of this, players are looking forward to the next generation of Grand Theft Auto.

In February this year, R Star confirmed that the next generation of "GTA" (temporarily known as "GTA6") is under active development, which is undoubtedly a boost to long-awaited fans. Later, it was revealed that R Star would not release "GTA6" until 2025, 12 years after the launch of "GTA5".

In Take-Two 's latest Q2 presentation for fiscal year 2023, there was a PPT with the latest sales figures, indicating that the cumulative sales of the "GTA" series had reached 385m, while the common "GTA5" sales were stagnant, failing to reach 170m in three months.

In terms of sales figures, this suggests that the much-complained remake "GTA: the final version of the trilogy" has filled the sales gap. If the figures are accurate, the game could have sold up to 4 million copies between June and September, meaning it could eventually sell more than 1400 million copies.

"GTA: trilogy-final" is a replica collection of "GTA III", "GTA: sin City" and "GTA: San Andreas", developed by Grove Street Games and launched by Rockstar Games on November 11, 2021 on Microsoft Windows, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X / S, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.

CTOnews.com learned that although players did not have a high opinion of GTA: trilogy-final, Take-Two CEO Zelnick insisted in January that the game performed "very well" and reiterated at a previous investor conference that sales of the game had "significantly exceeded" the company's business expectations.
