CTOnews.com, November 13, the unified iPhone version of Microsoft Office application has been updated with a new internal beta, redesigning the context menu and functional area. Microsoft said the application now has a "modern look" and is in line with the company's Fluent fluency design principles implemented using open source components. In addition to a more modern look, the redesigned menu can be resized and provide faster performance.

Users testing Office applications can try to update the context menu command bar and ribbon palettes by opening Word documents, PowerPoint presentations, or Excel spreadsheets and editing their contents. The redesigned menu will appear at the bottom of the screen, providing quick and convenient access to the most relevant features based on the current selection. For example, insert a photo or other object in a PowerPoint presentation, format text in Word, or select a feature in Excel.

CTOnews.com learned that the updated menu is now available for version 2.67 (build 22110700) or newer versions of Office Insiders. Users can try them out in stand-alone Office applications or unified applications.

Microsoft is gradually introducing new features, which means that some Office internal testers will get new visual effects a little later than others. This allows Microsoft to ensure the steady introduction of new features and prevent a wide range of Bug errors.
