Douyin said that the platform severely cracked down on the use of platform services to implement or abet or incite others to commit "cyber violence" to others, and prohibited the publication and dissemination of content that perpetrated cyber violence against others.

According to Douyin, the platform recently launched the Douyin Xiao'an "Anti-Disturb Protection tool 2.0" function page, including "private message blocking", "comment blocking", "search blocking", "fan list blocking", "batch reporting of private messages online violence" and "one-click anti-cyber violence" and other functions to help users better prevent cyber violence.

CTOnews.com learned that for cyber violence attacks, users can choose to turn on "private message blocking" and "comment blocking" to block private messages and comments from strangers within 3, 7 and 30 days. If "fan list blocking" is enabled, user accounts will not be displayed in other people's followers and fan lists, thus effectively protecting themselves.

Douyin pointed out that once attacked by group cyber violence, users can enter the evidence since the cyber violence by entering the evidence to submit a report with one click through the "batch report of private message cyber violence" function, and the platform will deal with it as soon as possible.

In terms of operation, users can search for "one button to prevent cyber violence" through Douyin, click "anti-disturbance tool" to enter the page, or search for "Xiao'an Protection Center" and then click "platform entrance-one button to prevent cyber riot". You can also turn on "more functions-Douyin Xiaoan-one button to prevent cyber violence" in your personal settings, and then block private messages and comments from strangers with one button.

Data from Douyin show that from September to October this year alone, 86600 users actively entered the "anti-disturbance protection tool", with a total of 63100 people turning on the function.
