Although the company's vehicle sales and operating income increased significantly in the third quarter compared with the same period last year and month-on-month, the improvement of production and marketing structure and the recovery of product gross profit margin still lag behind.

According to SAIC, on the one hand, affected by the control of the epidemic in the second quarter of this year, the market development and brand promotion activities of the company's main vehicle enterprises were postponed to the third quarter, and the sales expenses increased by about 1.9 billion yuan over the same period last year; on the other hand, the price increase of batteries and other raw materials also had a certain impact on the company's profits. In November and December, the domestic car market will enter the traditional peak sales season, superimposed purchase tax preferential policies and other opportunities to promote consumption, the company will further consolidate the good momentum of production and sales compensation, and make every effort to sprint for the whole year vehicle production and sales target.

CTOnews.com learned that data show that SAIC sold 800000 new energy vehicles from January to October, up 44 per cent from a year earlier. Among them, SAIC's monthly sales of new energy vehicles broke through the 100000 mark again in October, reaching 101700 vehicles.
