Cloud native 2.0 development cloud native has three remarkable characteristics: resource service, collaborative cloud end and low code programming.

By encapsulating the underlying resources and providing them in the form of services, developers do not need to consider server construction and operation and maintenance. For example, the cloud development product launched by Tencent Cloud in 2018 integrates the underlying IaaS infrastructure and is packaged into PaaS platform services that are more developer-friendly and easy to use.

Secondly, collaborative cloud. From the development environment to testing, operation and maintenance, and deployment are all on the cloud, developers can collaborate anytime and anywhere. For example, Cloud Studio, a cloud development tool, brings the local development environment to the cloud, allowing developers to remotely view, edit and deploy code just like using Tencent documents. For the design process, Tencent launched the design collaboration platform CoDesign, which also makes the collaboration between designers and products, R & D upstream and downstream more efficient and smooth. For the whole R & D process, CODING DevOps, TAPD and other tools also provide code management, project collaboration, test management, continuous integration, product library, continuous deployment and other functions.

In addition, programming is low-code. Low code frees developers from the tedious underlying coding work. By modularizing business functions in specific scenarios and using a small amount of code or visualization tools, functional modules can be quickly combined and complex business logic can be implemented efficiently. For example, the micro-build low-code development platform, which provides a variety of templates, can build applications by dragging and dropping, and the development efficiency can be increased by 3 to 5 times.

After two years of 3 million developers and 3 billion calls, the number of cloud developers has tripled and the number of calls has increased fourfold. Tencent Cloud said, "next, Cloud Development will launch version 2.0, covering backend as-a-service, hosting capabilities, unified identity authentication, data connectors, headless development kits and other capabilities to create a more open and friendly integrated full-stack PaaS platform to better meet the workflow needs of developers."

In version 2.0, developers can easily connect cloud development environments to their own private IaaS resources, such as MongoDB, object buckets, Serverless functions, and so on. This can not only quickly build one-stop PaaS services, but also reuse existing IaaS resources and reduce resource waste.

CTOnews.com learned that in addition, Cloud Development 2.0 will provide a series of templates and suites that provide the general capabilities needed for most application development, such as CMS, forms, blogs, e-commerce, customer service messages, etc. At the same time, it will also provide more open identity authentication oAuth (Open Authorization) capabilities, as well as marketing, payment and other suites to help developers improve their applications and better achieve customer acquisition and growth.

In order to further improve development efficiency and reduce the development threshold, Tencent also launched a low-code development tool micro-build. The aim is to allow developers to build applications like building blocks.

Micro-lap is also a low-code platform that supports the exclusive mode of low-code small tenants.
