CTOnews.com November 13, BMW announced yesterday that the new compact pure electric SUV BMW iX1 has officially gone offline at its factory in Regensburg, Germany, where iX1's high-voltage batteries have also been put into production.

According to reports, the factory can realize a series of electric vehicle production actions ranging from high-voltage batteries to vehicle assembly, which means that all BMW factories in Germany can produce electric vehicles, while traditional fuel vehicle production will be transferred to BMW's plants in the UK and Austria.

In order to achieve the ambitious goal of electrification, Milan, a member of BMW's board of directors in charge of production, said that by 2024, there will be electrified models made at BMW's German plant, including the BMW iX1, a pure electric product in the compact SUV market segment.

In addition, the BMW plant has introduced a new digital production process, which not only effectively plans the digital mapping of the future plant structure and production facilities, but also integrates AI to assist the paint workshop to ensure perfect spray quality and assist employees in quality inspection.

CTOnews.com has reported that the new BMW iX1, released in June this year, is equipped with two motors, up to 313 horsepower and 364 lb-ft (494Nm) of torque, with a wind resistance coefficient of 0.26CD X Drive 30 twin motor version with a zero acceleration of 5.7s.

In terms of interior, the new car is equipped with a dual screen design with a 10.25inch full LCD dashboard and a 10.7inch central multimedia display, as well as BMW's latest iDrive 8 system.

In addition, the model is equipped with a set of batteries with a capacity of 64.7kWh, with a maximum charging power of 130kW, which can be recharged from 10% to 80% in half an hour and has a range of 257 miles (about 413,438 km). The all-electric version is expected to cost more than 50, 000 pounds (about 419000 yuan).
