Volvo said that in September, Volvo trucks began mass production of electric heavy truck models. The maximum total weight of this batch of models is 44 tons, of which some electric heavy truck models will use non-fossil steel, which is the first batch of non-fossil steel electric heavy trucks in the world.

In addition, the first batch of non-fossil steel made from hydrogen energy has now been used to make the frame stringers of electric heavy trucks, which carry the main parts of trucks. With its increasingly wide application field, non-chemical stone steel will also be used in other heavy truck models in the future.

CTOnews.com has learned that Volvo data show that new Volvo truck models are now made of about 30 per cent of recyclable materials. At the same time, 90% of the trucks can be recycled after they reach their useful life.
