Galy has four refresh modes, namely, HD, standard, extreme speed and black and white. The refresh speed of HD is about 1.5 seconds. It is mainly used in digital photo frames, the speed mode is mainly used to read comics, and the main scene in black-and-white mode is reading.

E Ink Gallery 3 increases the page turning speed to 350ms when displaying black and white text, and the update speed of the color display is also greatly improved. in the fast color display mode, the update speed is 500ms; the standard mode is from 750ms to 1000 milliseconds; the best color display mode is 1500 milliseconds, which takes 2 seconds for the first generation black and white display update and 10 seconds for color update time, bringing a significant speed increase.
