CTOnews.com, Nov. 12 (Xinhua) as a marketing campaign, Volkswagen has built an office chair that not only looks like a Star Trek captain's seat, but also can drive around the office on its five wheels at speeds of up to 20 kilometers per hour, an astonishing speed for a seat.

According to Volkswagen, the chair has a replaceable battery and has a range of up to 12 kilometers.

The chair is full, with a 360-degree anti-collision sensor, a reversing camera with full navigation, heated embroidered seats, party lights, a touchscreen display, a USB charger and trailer hooks. Of course, LED headlights, seat belts and speakers are not absent, and there is even a "trunk" (actually a pocket) for files or laptops.

CTOnews.com learned that Volkswagen also released a behind-the-scenes video showing the process of building the chair, as well as some finished footage, which Volkswagen said would provide test driving in different locations.
