CTOnews.com, November 11, according to a report in Taiwan's Economic Daily, the financial data disclosed by MSI today show that in the third quarter of 2022, MSI's net profit after tax was NT $1.608 billion (about RMB 367 million), a decrease of 47.1% from the previous month and 64% from the same period last year.

CTOnews.com learned that MSI earned NT $13.653 billion (about RMB 3.113 billion) in October 2022, up 5.1% from a month earlier and down 31.48% from a year earlier. Revenue in the first 10 months of 2022 was NT $153.274 billion (about RMB 34.946 billion), down 7.92% from a year earlier.

In addition, MSI's net profit after tax in the first three quarters of this year was 9.417 billion New Taiwan dollars (about 2.147 billion yuan), down 27.7 percent from the same period last year.

Looking forward to the fourth quarter of 2022, the company said that revenue is expected to grow slightly 4 per cent month-on-quarter to NT $40.2 billion, down 26 per cent from the previous year, thanks to the launch of Nvidia's new graphics card RTX 40 series, which is expected to grow 15 per cent month-on-month, mainly due to continued inventory reduction.
