Needless to say, let's take a look at the first common printing pit-the form is too wide to fit into a single page.

Don't worry, I'll teach you four tricks!

The first trick: batch adjust the column width sometimes in order to look good on the page, we will leave the cell blank is very large, row height column width adjustment is relatively large.

Although it looks good, it is waste paper.

So when the format is not very required, we can try our best to save this space.

The method is to compress the column width.

We can manually drag the dividing line between columns one by one to compress some columns that are too wide.

But it's too slow.

In fact, you only need to select the area where you want to adjust the column width, and then double-click the column mark junction directly.

Got it!

The column width adapts automatically according to the contents of the cell. Is the table much narrower all of a sudden?

The second trick: set the table to automatically adapt to the column width on one page, ah, it is still too wide! It won't fit into a page!

It's time for you to take a look at the Paging Preview view.

In the View tab, switch from normal view to Paging Preview view.

[page Preview] in the view, you can see some blue dashed lines and blue solid lines dividing the entire data area into pieces.

These dashed / solid lines are page breaks, and each piece that is divided is a page.

If you click on these dotted lines, you can drag and adjust their position.

You can also drag it toward the non-printed area (the gray area next to it) to remove the page break.

In this way, the table can be set to one page.

Of course, there is a more direct way! It can be done with one button!

In the Page layout-Resize tool group, set the print width from [automatic] to [1 page].

Simple and rough!

That is, no matter how wide the form is, it is forced to print within one page.

In this way, you no longer have to worry about the width of more than one page, resulting in a complete row of data being split into several sheets of paper.

The third trick: vertical variable horizontal printing, but sometimes the data area is indeed large.

If you force very wide data to be placed on one page, the overall proportion will be so small that the words may not be read clearly.

This is the time to use the third move!

In the Page layout, adjust the paper orientation to Landscape.

Change the direction of the paper from vertical to horizontal. Since the width of the paper is not enough, let's use the long edge of the paper as our data width.

Does it look less crowded?

The fourth trick: set up a specific printing area but. If it's still a little crowded, this.

Hey, the room is only 2 flat. Do you still want a double bed 2m wide? No way! It would be nice to have a single bed.

By the same token, in the case of limited paper area, it would be good to choose a local key area to print.

Select the local area, and in the Page layout, select set print area.

You can print only the selected area.

You can even select a few more discontiguous areas and print at the same time.
