According to Finbold, the decline in the number of apps on App Store has hit a seven-year low. In the third quarter of 2022, the total number of applications on the platform was 1642759. In the second quarter of 2022, the total was 2184456. The last time the number of apps was so low was in the third quarter of 2015, at 1672271.
This shows that the number of App Store applications fell by 24.79% in the third quarter from the previous quarter, with 541697 applications dropping out of App Store in that quarter alone.
