CTOnews.com November 10 news, today, PC manufacturer Asustek held a law meeting, announced the third quarter results. Asustek's revenue in the third quarter was NT $132.935 billion (about 30.309 billion yuan), up 15 per cent from a month earlier and 2 per cent from a year earlier, according to data.

During the reporting period, Asustek's operating profit was 15.409 billion New Taiwan dollars (about 3.513 billion yuan), up 10 percent from the previous month, down 36 percent from the same period last year; operating profit was 3.057 billion New Taiwan dollars (about 697 million yuan), up 56 percent from the previous month, down 72 percent from the same period last year.

CTOnews.com learned that looking ahead to the fourth quarter, Asustek expects PC shipments to fall 15 per cent month-on-month in the fourth quarter of this year; zero-component products benefit from demand driven by the launch of new platforms and new models, and shipments are expected to grow by 5 per cent in the fourth quarter compared with the previous quarter.

In addition, Asustek earned NT $40.318 billion (about 9.152 billion yuan) in October this year, down 32.6% from the previous month and 10.4% from a year earlier, while cumulative revenue in the first ten months of this year was NT $450.434 billion (about 102.249 billion yuan), up 5.2% from a year earlier.
