CTOnews.com, November 10, according to records of investor relations activities disclosed by BYD, on the November 8 conference call, BYD said that the company walked on two legs, plug-in hybrid and pure electric, on the "layout and competitive advantage of the technology route of new energy vehicles."

According to reports, in terms of plug-in hybrid, BYD launched DM-i super hybrid and DM-p king hybrid technology. Once the relevant models are launched, supply exceeds demand, the product matrix continues to improve, and new products continue to be launched. In terms of pure electric, BYD blade battery, e-platform 3.0 and CTB technology continue to empower company models, which are also widely praised by the market.

CTOnews.com learned that BYD pointed out that the company is actively laying out its overseas business and has entered the passenger car market in Australia, Colombia, Brazil, Singapore, Costa Rica, Thailand and other countries. Among them, the yuan Plus (right rudder version) model was ordered in Thailand in early October, with a price of 119.9, 000 baht, equivalent to about 226000 yuan.

In the Brazilian market, BYD said that it officially entered the Brazilian passenger car sector last year and that it already has nine stores in Brazil and is expected to open operations in 45 cities by the end of this year and 100 by the end of 2023. BYD Brazil is also committed to providing local new energy solutions and photovoltaic module products to customers through distributors.

When talking about the plan to build a plant in Thailand, BYD said that as the largest car market in ASEAN and the automobile manufacturing center in Southeast Asia, Thailand has a unique advantage. In recent years, under the encouragement of many policies, such as the development of charging infrastructure, the construction of smart grid, tax reduction for new energy vehicles, and so on, Thailand's new energy vehicle market has also developed rapidly, gradually forming a strong market attraction, providing a good opportunity for BYD's overseas passenger car factory layout in Thailand. In September, BYD Automobile Thailand Co., Ltd. signed a contract with WHA Weihua Group Volkswagen Co., Ltd. to formally sign land subscription and plant related agreements.

In the South American market, BYD said the yuan PLUS was unveiled in Colombia in October, which is the launch of the model in another Latin American country after entering Costa Rica, Uruguay and Dominica. Since 2020, BYD has partnered with local dealer Motorysa to sell BYD's full range of new energy passenger cars in Colombia, including medium and large luxury flagship sedan Han EV, luxury pure electric SUV Tang EV, as well as plug-in hybrid models such as Qin PLUS DM-i and Song PLUS DM-i.
