CTOnews.com November 10 news, the China Automobile Association today released China's October 2022 power battery monthly data, October, China's power battery load 30.5GWh, an increase of 98.1% year-on-year, down 3.5% from the previous month. Among them, ternary battery 10.8GWh accounted for 35.4% of the total installed capacity, an increase of 55.2% over the same period last year and a decrease of 3.5% compared with the previous year; lithium iron phosphate battery 19.7GWh accounted for 64.4% of the total installed capacity, an increase of 133.2% over the same period last year and a decrease of 3.6%.

The specific data are as follows:

Production: in October, China's power battery production totaled 62.8GWh, an increase of 150.1% year-on-year and 6.2% month-on-month. Among them, ternary battery output 24.2GWh, accounting for 38.6% of the total output, up 163.5% from the same period last year, down 0.2% from the previous year; lithium iron phosphate battery 38.6GWh, accounting for 61.4% of the total output, up 142.6% from the same period last year, up 10.8% from the previous year. From January to October, the cumulative output of power batteries in China (425.9GWh) increased by 166.5% compared with the same period last year. Among them, the cumulative output of ternary batteries 171.4GWh, accounting for 40.2% of the total output, increased by 137.9% over the same period last year; the cumulative output of lithium iron phosphate batteries 254.2GWh, accounting for 59.7% of the total output, increased by 190.4% over the same period last year.

In terms of loading capacity: in October, China's power battery 30.5GWh increased by 98.1% compared with the same period last year, and decreased by 3.5% compared with the previous month. Among them, ternary battery 10.8GWh accounted for 35.4% of the total installed capacity, up 55.2% from the same period last year and 3.5% lower than the previous year; lithium iron phosphate battery 19.7GWh accounted for 64.4% of the total installed capacity, up 133.2% from the same period last year and 3.6% lower than the previous year. From January to October, the cumulative installed capacity of power batteries in China was 224.2GWh, an increase of 108.7% over the same period last year. Among them, the cumulative loading of ternary batteries 88.0GWh, accounting for 39.2% of the total installed capacity, increased by 62.8% over the same period last year; the cumulative loading of lithium iron phosphate batteries 136.0GWh, accounting for 60.6% of the total installed capacity, increased by 155.6% over the same period last year, showing a momentum of rapid growth.

In October, a total of 40 power battery enterprises were installed in China's new energy vehicle market, an increase of one over the same period last year. The power battery loads of the top 3, top 5 and top 10 power battery companies are 24.6GWh, 26.6GWh and 29.1GWh respectively, accounting for 80.4%, 87.2% and 95.3% of the total installed capacity, respectively. From January to October, a total of 51 power battery enterprises in China's new energy vehicle market were equipped, 3 fewer than the same period last year, and the top 3, top 5 and top 10 power battery enterprises installed 77.1%, 84.4% and 94.5% of the total installed capacity, respectively, for 173.0GWh, 189.2GWh and 211.9GWh, respectively.

Exports: in October, China's power battery exports totaled 14.7GWh. Among them, ternary battery export volume 4.3GWh, lithium iron phosphate battery export volume 10.3GWh.

CTOnews.com learned that in terms of manufacturer ranking, the top 15 installed capacity of domestic power battery enterprises in October 2022 are Ningde era, BYD, China New Airlines, Guoxuan High Tech, Yiwei Lithium Energy, Xin Wanda, Honeycomb Energy, Funeng Technology, Ruipu Lanjun, Huading League of Nations, Zhengli New Energy (Tafel), Jiewei Power, LG New Energy, Lishen, and Duofuo.
