Customer orders for the Samsung Galaxy S22 pushed Qualcomm's application processor ASP to an all-time high, but Qualcomm could face resistance to inventory revisions in the second half of 2022. Shipments of Samsung LSI's Exynos smartphone application processors are down 46% from a year earlier, but there are signs of a rebound in the midmarket. "

Kundojjala continued: "Q2 MediaTek application processor revenue hit an all-time high in 2022, driven by a mix of high-end and ultra-high-end Tianji 5G application processors. However, due to the continued weakness of Android application processors in China, we expect MediaTek application processor shipments and revenue to decline in the second half of 2022.
