In terms of new energy, the top 10 manufacturers in October sales were BYD, SAIC GM Wuling, Changan Automobile, Guangzhou Automobile Eian, Geely Automobile, Nawei Automobile, Chery Automobile, Tesla China, Sailis Automobile, Lulai Automobile, ideal Automobile, Great Wall Automobile, Shangqi passenger car, Dongfeng Fengshen, FAW-Volkswagen, among which BYD reached 205789 far ahead.

In the first 10 months of this year, BYD, SAIC GM Wuling, Tesla China, Geely Motor, Guangzhou Automobile Eian, Chery Automobile, Changan Automobile, Nahan Automobile, Xiaopeng Automobile and Great Wall Motor ranked in the top 10. BYD's cumulative sales this year has reached 1358645.

Subdivided into cars and SUV, Hongguang MINI EV is still the top player, while the second to fourth place is BYD. In terms of SUV, BYD Song, BYD Yuan PLUS, BYD Tang, Tesla Model Y are all familiar veteran players, while Eian Aion S, Changan Lumin, BYD Seal and other sales are also very good, while the M5 and M7 ranked eighth and 11th with 6812 and 5226 respectively.

Wuling Hongguang MINI EV ranked first in October with sales of 41255 vehicles, but decreased by 13.8% compared with the same period last year. The second car was BYD Qin, which sold 32068 vehicles in October, up 16.1% from the same period last year. The third model was BYD Han, which sold 31468 vehicles in October, up 183.9% from the same period last year. The fourth model was BYD Dolphin, which sold 25240 vehicles in October, up 319.4% from the same period last year. The fifth-ranked model was GAC Ean AION Sfocus, which sold 14507 vehicles in October, up 80.9 per cent from a year earlier.

In terms of new energy SUV, BYD Song ranked first with sales of 56138 vehicles, up 253.2% from the same period last year; BYD Song ranked second with monthly sales of 20418 BYD yuan PLUS,10; the third car was BYD Tang, with October sales of 16989 vehicles, up 150.5% from the same period last year; and the third car was Tesla Model YTech, which sold 14391 vehicles in October, up only 8.2% from the same period last year. The fifth-ranked model was GAC's Ian AION YMagi, which sold 12615 vehicles in October, an increase of 184.8 per cent year-on-year.

CTOnews.com once reported that wholesale sales of new energy passenger vehicles reached 676000 in October 2022, an increase of 85.8% year-on-year and 0.4% month-on-month. Under the halving of car purchase tax, new energy vehicles were not only unaffected, but continued to improve better than expected.

From January to October, 5.015 million new energy passenger vehicles were wholesale, an increase of 110.8% over the same period last year. Retail sales of new energy passenger cars reached 556000 in October, an increase of 75.2% over the same period last year, down 9.0% from January to October. From January to October, there were 4.432 million domestic retail sales of new energy passenger vehicles, an increase of 107.5% over the same period last year.

In addition, 103000 new energy passenger vehicles were exported in October, such as 54504 for Tesla China, 18688 for SAIC passenger cars, 10785 for Dongfeng Egett and 9529 for BYD. Geely 2496, Great Wall 1552, Shenlong 1457, Skyworth 1098, SAIC GM Wuling 1087, Dongfeng passenger cars 1087, Aiqi 373, FAW Hongqi 307. Jianghuai exported 228 cars, SAIC Chase exported 158, and other car companies also exported a small amount of new energy.

October analysis: the impact of chip outage in October is gradually eliminated, logistics and supply chain continue to improve, channel inventory is abundant, car market promotion efforts remain at a high level. The disturbance to the automobile market caused by the epidemic this month can not be ignored. The epidemic spread to Henan, Guangdong, Inner Mongolia, Fujian and other major provinces of automobile consumption, and dealers closed shop frequently, and offline sales were blocked, which was one of the main reasons for the decline in retail sales in October.

This month, TOP15 companies sold a total of 1.66 million vehicles wholesale, with a market concentration of 75.7%, an increase of 1.5% over the previous month. TOP15 auto companies totaled retail sales of 1.418 million vehicles this month, with a market concentration of 77.0%, an increase of 2.5% over the previous month.

Five companies have sold more than 100000 vehicles this month, namely, BYD, FAW-Volkswagen, Geely, Changan and SAIC-Volkswagen. Among them, champion BYD topped the list for the fourth month in a row.
