CTOnews.com learned that iOS 16.2 and iPadOS 16.2 introduced the boundless app, which officials say is a powerful and efficient app that allows users to view, share and collaborate in one place through a flexible canvas without worrying about layout and page size, while fully supporting the use of Apple Pencil. Users can see other people's changes when adding content or editing, and enjoy real-time collaboration. Users can add any type of files, such as pictures, video, audio, PDF, documents and web links, to the boundless canvas and preview them in real time without leaving the whiteboard.

For iPad, this update brings external display support for the front-end scheduling multitasking function, allowing up to eight applications to be used at the same time. External display support is available for M1 and M2 iPad models.

There is a new Home application architecture in iOS and iPadOS 16.2, which Apple says is designed to bring faster and more reliable performance, especially in homes with a large number of smart home accessories.

Apple today also released the second public beta version of macOS Ventura 13.1, which also introduced the boundless app.
