Tesla CEO Elon Musk reportedly said Tesla competitors should continue to advertise on Twitter after he acquired social media company Twitter. He promised not to give Tesla an unfair advantage while he led both companies.

Musk said he hopes auto executives will be more active on Twitter. He said he would be "as fair as possible."

Following Musk's acquisition of Twitter, several major auto brands, including Volkswagen and General Motors, suspended Twitter ads. Earlier this week, Stellantis NV, which owns Jeep and Ram series cars, also suspended postings "until we have a clearer picture of the platform's future under new leadership," the company said.
