Thank CTOnews.com netizens and independent photographers for their clue delivery! CTOnews.com, Nov. 10, Ricoh today announced the launch of the Pentax KF digital SLR camera, which is almost the same as the Pentax K70 released in 2016, except for a few minor changes.

Pentax KF has no significant upgrade compared to K70. Pentax said the K70 was being phased out because some of the components that make up the camera could not be purchased. There were so many out-of-stock components that Pentax could no longer use the name K70, so KF was born.

There is no difference in appearance and sensor between Pentax KF and K70, but the resolution of flip LCD screen is increased by 12.5%, from 921000 points to 1.037 million points.

In addition, the Pentax KF weighs 625g, while the K70 weighs 628g, equivalent to a loss of 3g, and is replaced with a USB-C port.

In terms of software, three custom image modes have been added to Pentax KF. The first is called SATOBI, which produces colors similar to those of the 1960s and 1970s, with cyan blue, soft yellow and faded red. Pentax KF also comes with two other special edition image modes: summer and Nine Autumn.

Finally, Pentax KF's utility software has been built into the camera, which was previously attached to the CD.

For the rest, the Pentax KF is exactly the same as the Pentax K70, including a 2424-megapixel APS-C sensor, a maximum ISO 102400, automatic horizontal correction, shaky pixels, a pentagram viewfinder with a 100% field of view, keystroke layout, dustproof drip-proof and shock-proof systems.

CTOnews.com learned that the Pentax KF will go on sale in late November, with a black version priced at $849.95 (currently about 6154 yuan) and a set with an 18-55mm lens priced at $949.95 (currently about 6878 yuan).

In addition to the standard black body camera, two special edition color models-crystal blue and crystal white-will be sold in a limited edition worldwide at a price of $899.95 (currently about 6516 yuan).
