According to news on the evening of November 9, Beijing time, online gaming platform Roblox today released its third-quarter results for 2022. Roblox reported third-quarter revenue of $517.7 million, up 2 per cent from a year earlier. The net loss attributable to common shareholders was $297.8 million, compared with a net loss of $74 million in the same period last year.

Third quarter results:

Revenue was $517.7 million, up 2 per cent from a year earlier.

Revenue costs were $126.4 million, down 3 per cent from a year earlier.

The operating loss was $300 million, compared with a loss of $77.446 million for the same period last year.

The net loss attributable to common shareholders was $297.8 million, compared with a net loss of $74 million in the same period last year.

In the third quarter, Roblox's operating cash flow was $67.1 million, capital expenditure was $133.4 million, and adjusted EBITDA (earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization) was $50.9 million.

At the end of the third quarter, Roblox had $3 billion in cash.

In the third quarter, the number of daily active users (DAU) of Roblox was 58.8 million, up 24% from a year earlier. Of these, DAU over the age of 13 increased 34 per cent year on year, accounting for 54 per cent of all DAU.

In the US and Canada, DAU was 14.2 million in the third quarter, up 17 per cent from a year earlier and accounting for 24.1 per cent of total DAU. In addition, DAU in Europe grew by 30% year-on-year, while DAU in the Asia-Pacific region grew by 40%.
