According to the announcement, Shunyu Optics shipped about 100 million mobile phone lenses in October 2022, up 5% from the previous month, down 12.8% from the same period last year; mobile camera modules shipped 43.911 million pieces, up 18.9% from the previous month, down 13.9% from the same period last year; car lens shipments were 7.823 million, up 50.5% from the same period last year.

CTOnews.com learned that Shunyu Optics pointed out in the announcement that the 12.8% year-on-year decline in mobile phone lens shipments was mainly due to weak demand in the overall smartphone market; car lens shipments rose 50.5% year-on-year mainly due to low base shipments due to shortages of key parts in the automobile supply chain in the same period last year.

In addition, Shunyu Optics said that the 13.9% drop in mobile camera module shipments compared with the same period last year was mainly due to the weak demand in the overall smartphone market, and the 18.9% month-on-month increase was mainly due to the stock needs of individual customers.
