According to reports, the new Kia EV6 will be launched in the Chinese market in 2023. At the same time, Kia will launch six new pure electric vehicles for the Chinese market in the next five years, starting with EV6. In addition, Kia also announced the imminent opening of the new channel City Store, which will bring a new car purchase experience to users, and EV6 will be the first to enter.

It is reported that the new car uses a pure electric drive motor and is based on the E-GMP platform, with a maximum acceleration time of 100 kilometers in 3.5 seconds.

Combined with the new car released at the previous auto show, the new car is built with a more sporty design concept, with the iconic "Tiger Face" design, and the closed intake grille on the front enriches the car's special identity as a pure electric vehicle. In terms of details, the new car is also equipped with brand-new headlights on both sides of the front to enrich its recognition.

In terms of interior decoration, the new car uses a minimalist style, equipped with a double-spoke steering wheel, a 12.3-inch LCD meter and a 12.3-inch central control screen with a double screen.

The Kia EV6 GT model accelerates at 100km in 3.5s, with a top speed of 260km / h. In addition, the Kia EV6 has a specially adapted design for 800V charging posts, which take only 18 minutes to recharge from 10% to 80%.

In terms of space, the Kia EV6 has a size of 4680 × 1880 × 1550mm and has an ultra-long wheelbase of 2900mm, which is comparable to many medium-sized SUV. The Kia EV6 has trunk space of up to 520L, which can be expanded to about 1300 litres if you put down the second row of seats, and the EV6 also has a front suitcase.

On the power side, EV6 offers a variety of all-electric, zero-emission powertrain options, including a long-life version of the 77.4kWh battery pack and a standard life version of the 58kWh battery pack. The EV6 GT-line model will offer both long-range and standard-life models, while the EV6 GT model will only offer long-range battery packs.

CTOnews.com learned that the long-lasting two-wheel drive version of EV6 (2WD) with 77.4kWh battery pack can drive 600km on a single charge (NEDC standard). The long-range all-wheel drive version (AWD) of the EV6 provides maximum 605Nm torque output with an acceleration of only 5.2 seconds per 100 km.

For EV6 long-lasting models, the two-wheel drive version (2WD) is equipped with a single rear-drive motor with the maximum power of 168kW, while the all-wheel drive version (AWD) is equipped with front and rear dual-drive motors, and the maximum output power of the vehicle is 239kW.

Thanks to the 430kW dual motor, the EV6 GT model has improved its electric performance to a whole new height. EV6 GT all-wheel drive model can output 740Nm maximum torque, 100km acceleration only 3.5s, the highest speed can reach 260km / h. At the same time, the EV6 GT model will be equipped with its own electronic limited slip differential (e-LSD) function.

The EV6 standard life version is equipped with 58kWh's battery pack, and the all-wheel drive version provides 605Nm torque output with an acceleration time of 6.2 seconds for 100 kilometers. The standard two-wheel drive version is equipped with 125kW rear drive motor, while the all-wheel drive version is equipped with front and rear dual drive motor, and the maximum power of the vehicle is 173kW.

In terms of charging, all versions of the EV6 can support both 400V and 800V charging without additional components or adapters, and ultra-high-speed charging from 30 to 80 per cent can be achieved in just 14 minutes. For the long-range two-wheel drive version, charging for 4.5 minutes can increase the mileage of the 100km.

In addition, EV6 also has a "Plug & Charge,PnC" function to further improve the convenience of charging. Users can completely abandon the physical charging card, as long as simply connect the charging post, the authentication information stored in the electric vehicle can complete the charging authentication and turn on the automatic charging function. Thanks to the integrated charging control unit (ICCU), EV6 also realizes the new function of vehicle external power supply (V2L), which can be used to charge other electric devices with vehicle batteries. Vehicle external power supply function (V2L) output power up to 3.6kW.
