According to reports, OPPO integrates the self-developed ray tracing algorithm into the Unity game development engine to create a real light and shadow experience in the game. Its ray tracing algorithm can simulate the physical behavior of light, and can show real-time dynamic shadow, surface reflection, vitreous refraction and so on, which greatly improves the realistic rendering effect.

In addition, the technical cooperation between the two sides also involves the development of   Adaptive   Performance   (ADP)   plug-in technology, which can help three-party games dynamically adjust their image quality parameters according to the current state of the phone through the ADP   plug-in, so as to reduce power consumption and increase frame rate, and the game can quickly adapt with less work.

It is worth mentioning that OPPO   provides   Game   SDK   interface for   ADP   plug-ins, allowing developers to quickly obtain key information such as phone temperature and GPU rendering time, as well as   GPU and CPU   working frequency adjustment interfaces. It is said that when the game is full of frames, the power consumption can be reduced by 8%, and the average frame rate can be increased by more than 5%.

Alibaba, China Mobile, Gibbit, Miha Youyou, OPPO, Jiadu Technology and Douyin Group will participate in the joint venture, giving Unity China a post-investment valuation of $1 billion.
