Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--
CTOnews.com, November 9, NASA announced today that based on monitoring of Tropical Storm Nicole, it has decided to postpone the launch of the Artemis 1 (Artemis I) lunar mission to Wednesday, November 16, pending safety conditions for employees to return to work.
The NASA Artemis-1 mission to the moon has been delayed several times, and the latest plan is to launch next Monday (November 14) from the Kennedy Space Center (KSC) in Florida. But Tropical Storm Nicole is making landfall from the Atlantic coast of Florida, so NASA announced a two-day delay.
CTOnews.com learned that NASA said in an email statement on November 8: "adjusting the target launch date will enable engineers to meet the needs of taking care of their families and families, and provide sufficient logistics time to resume launch status after the tropical storm."
Artemis 1 marks the first launch of NASA's giant carrier rocket SLS, which will launch a spacecraft called Orion into orbit far from the moon. No astronauts took part in this mission, but only as a test for a follow-up mission.
After a number of fuel leaks, NASA finally successfully completed the SLS fuel test, and then encountered hurricanes and tropical storms, which seemed to be ill-fated, comparable to the James Weber Telescope.
