From the point of view of the code, Pixel 8 and 8 Pro seem to be code-named "Shiba" and "Husky" respectively. Given that Google's current flagship products, Pixel 7 and 7 Pro, are codenamed "Panther" and "Cheetah" respectively, the code name of the Pixel 8 series seems reasonable.

In addition, the WinFuture report is consistent with a revelation in August. It is said that Google's third-generation Tensor chip will also be built in cooperation with Samsung. The Tensor chip, codenamed "Zuma", will use the same Samsung G5300 baseband (G201) as the Tensor G2.

Other details about the chip are unknown, but Samsung is already working on the Exynos 2300 chip, which, if not surprisingly, could become a reference platform for the next generation of Tensor chips.

According to reports, the two phones will provide 12GB RAM and run Android 14. Foreign media also found that Android 14 is probably code-named Upside Down Cake (flip cake), while the display resolution of Pixel 8 seems to be 2268x1080 pixels, while Pixel 8 Pro is 2822x1344.

CTOnews.com has reported that there have been previous revelations that the Pixel 8 Pro may be equipped with ultrasonic sensors, which should theoretically be better than the optical fingerprint sensors used in the Pixel 6 and 7 series.
