CTOnews.com, November 9 (Xinhua)-- Apple today released a new version of firmware to AirPods Pro 2, bringing Apple's latest AirPods Pro to version 5.1.58, with the internal version 5B58 (formerly 5A377), after many users reported audio drift and out-of-sync problems with the headset.

Audio drift means that the sound moves between the two headphones, the audio moves back and forth between the headphones, or it may not be synchronized with the video. As for AirPods Pro 2, affected users said they had problems with audio drift and out-of-sync, as well as random volume increases or decreases.

Whether today's update will solve these audio drift problems for AirPods Pro 2 users remains to be seen. Apple did not release detailed release instructions for the update, saying only that the update included "bug fixes and other improvements."

CTOnews.com learned that to install new firmware, AirPods needs to be connected to iPhone via Bluetooth to install, and Apple also released new firmware for Beats Fit Pro, Powerbeats Pro and Beats Studio Buds today.
