Thanks to CTOnews.com netizen Dest1n for the clue delivery! CTOnews.com, November 9, with the arrival of another Tuesday update, Microsoft also pushed the latest KB5019980 (OS internal version 22621.819) update for Win11, while 21H2 received a KB5019961 update and Win10 for KB5019959.

At the same time, Microsoft also announced that due to few updates during the Christmas holiday and the upcoming New year, there will be no preview version (called "C" version) update in December 2022. There will be only one security update called "B" version in December this year. Normal monthly services for subsequent B and C versions will be restored in January 2023.

Then again, there are no major functional changes in this 22621.819, and the new version only fixes some Bug and security vulnerabilities that affect file explorer.

CTOnews.com learned that Microsoft said there were two known issues with this release:

With preconfigured packages (.PPKG files) on Windows 11, the 22H2 version may not work as expected. Microsoft explained that this is because Windows may only be partially configured, and if you use OOBE, you may not be able to complete the configuration or restart suddenly.

On the 22H2 version, it may take longer than expected for users to copy large (several G) files. You are relatively likely to encounter this problem when copying files from a network share to the Windows 11 22H2 version through server message blocks (Server Message Block, SMB), but local file replication may also be affected.

Microsoft only says it is investigating the problem with the preconfigured package, while the file replication problem provides a temporary solution, which you can alleviate by disabling the cache manager (buffer I / O) file replication tool:

Robocopy\\ someserver\ someshare c:\ somefolder somefile.img / J or

Xcopy\\ someserver\ someshare c:\ somefolder / J
